July 20, Xi'an, Shaanxi, the Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum announced the latest research results of the No.4 and No.28 Baixi figurines unearthed from the K9901 burial pit. It shows that the textiles worn by the No.4 Baixi figurines are most likely to be silk fabrics, with three main patterns: the octagonal star, geometric and cloud patterns. The K9901 burial pit is located in the southeast of the Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum. From 2011 to 2013, the overall archaeological excavation of K9901 burial pit unearthed more than 30 terracotta figures. By preliminary analysis from the manifestations, images and movements of these figurines, these figurines could be the Baixi figurines presenting the royal entertainment activities of the Qin Dynasty. The photo taken on June 23, 2022 shows the textiles worn on the upper body of the restored No.4 Baixi figurine.
